Geez you sound like bible thumper who sights the commandment to be fruitful with that line. Seeing as your not from America even if you have heard the stories you likely wouldnt be able to grasp just how messed up it is here.
Child services, Social services, whatever non threatening name they prefer often times act on a hunch or alleged complaint that the parents are abusing their children. They come to your home, take your child away, take several weeks or months before they will determine if you were at fault or not and depending on what they find either remove your child from you completely or eventually return them. Often times these groups trample American citizens constitutional rights. But wait, thereÆs more!
Parents are becoming afraid to even bring their children to the hospital now because doctors will often times report suspected abuse. Now you may think that isnÆt so bad but things like a bump on the head from the child running around and hitting their head on the table fall into that category. So something your three year old likely does several times a week is a sign that YOUÆRE A CHILD ABUSER.
Then we have the police actually going to the schools, going into each class room and preaching to the students ôif either of your parents hurt you or your mommy or daddy, its your job to call us so we can help.ö Do you see how disturbing that is? The police actually recruit our children to be their informants. When you consider how emotionally immature children are a simple argument over where to go for vacation can be viewed by the child as ôdaddy hurting mommyö.
Then there is the social stigma that comes from having social services coming to take your child away so yes, Americans have plenty of excuses to stop trying. Our own government has set it up so that a member of our family who is emotionally immature can call, make an ill informed or false claim and that is enough to brand us as child abusers. No evidence needed, no proof required to substantiate the claim, just a ôI saw such and such all by myself hurting their child.ö
